If you love the look and don’t mind sealing every few years, new cedar is hard to beat. If you’re replacing because you’re tired of the upkeep, vinyl (privacy) or aluminum (ornamental) removes maintenance entirely. We quote both paths.
Generally no — old footings have to come out, and fresh concrete needs undisturbed soil to hold. We dig new holes on the same line, so the fence position doesn’t change.
